在上一期分享中，我为大家分享了关于某些着装和装备可以帮助我们在与马匹一起工作和骑马时更加安全，并介绍了头盔和马靴的重要性。今天这篇我会继续介绍手套、马裤等其他重要装备。
03 Gloves are another important item of clothing. When leading horses/ponies and lungeing, wearing gloves is ESSENTIAL and can stop very unpleasant and painful rope burns from occurring. If a horse/pony suddenly pulls back and away from you, the rope or lunge line can very quickly burn your hands or hurt your fingers. I always wear gloves for riding as I find I get a better ‘feel’ for the horse through the reins. Plus, if you are riding a lot of horses/ponies, wearing gloves can prevent blisters.
手套是另一件重要的装备。在牵马或打圈时，手套是必不可少的，可以避免发生令人不快且疼痛的手部擦伤。如果马匹突然向后猛拉并远离你，牵马绳或调教索的快速拉动会擦伤你的手或手指。我骑马时总是戴手套，因为我发现它能使我通过缰绳更好地 “感知 ”到马。另外，如果你经常骑马，戴手套可以防止起水泡。
04 Breeches or jodhpurs are usually worn when riding because they are specially made to give protection to the knee and seat areas, plus the material that is used allows the rider to stretch and bend more easily when on the horses/pony. When first starting to ride, wearing a pair of close (not tight) trousers or jeans will be perfectly suitable.
我们在骑马时通常会穿马裤，因为马裤是专为保护膝盖和臀部而设计的，而且所用的材质能让骑手在马背上更容易伸展和弯曲。初学者刚开始骑马时，穿一条合身（不紧）的长裤或牛仔裤也是适合的。
05 Depending on the time of the year and the weather a jacket or coat (maybe waterproof) will be required. Whatever you do wear, make sure it is zipped up so it cannot flap and scare the horses/pony and cannot get caught on the saddle. Do wear clothing that is comfortable (but not baggy or loose) and does not rub or chafe.
根据一年中的季节和天气情况，可能需要穿夹克或外套（也许是防水的）。不管穿什么类型上衣，骑手都要确保拉上拉链，以免衣服拍动而吓到马匹，或者挂在马鞍上。请穿着舒适（但不要太宽松）的衣物，避免衣服摩擦或擦伤皮肤。
06 In the summer, when it is hot, do wear a polo shirt or similar top that covers your shoulders and upper arms. This is in case a horse/pony decides to bite you or if jumping and you take a fall, you have more protection.
夏天天气炎热时，骑手应穿Polo衫或类似的上衣来遮住肩膀和上臂。这样做是为了防止马匹咬你，或者在跳障碍时不慎摔倒，获得更多的保护。
07 Wearing earrings, necklaces and rings around horses is a potential hazard - these should be removed before entering the stables. Long hair should be tied back for safety; no scarves that could flap and get caught.
在马匹周围佩戴耳环、项链和戒指是有潜在危险的，因此在进入马房前应摘下首饰。为安全起见，骑手应将长发束在后面；不要佩戴围巾，因为围巾可能飘动并挂在哪里。
As you can see from the above information, there is a lot to think about before riding and handling horses/ponies but is all for your safety. If you are unsure regarding what to wear, always check with staff at the club’s reception. Many riders wear a body protector (for sale at tack shops or online) - this is a personal preference but at some clubs it is compulsory. If you feel safer wearing a body protector when riding, like the helmet, it must fit you correctly.
从以上信息可以看出，在骑马和进行马下操作之前，我们需要考虑的事情很多，但这些都是为了安全。如果你不确定穿什么，请向俱乐部前台工作人员咨询。许多骑手会穿护甲（在马具店或网上有售）--这是个人喜好，但是有的马术中心会要求骑手必须穿护甲。如果你觉得在骑马时佩戴护甲会更安全，那么护甲和头盔一样，也必须合适。
